Discover Scuba Diving The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Program offers everyone who would like to experience the wonderful feeling of zero gravity under water a discover scuba day without any obligation here at Manta Point.

Under the supervision of an experienced PADI Dive Professional you will undertake a scuba dive in calm, shallow waters to gain a little insight into the magical underwater world.

Group size max. 3 discover scuba students per instructor.

Open Water Diver This beginner course includes practical and theoretical training and concludes with a certification as a "PADI Open Water Diver". During this course everything will be explained slowly, in detail and with different media input (books, video, lectures, multiple choice tests, and easy quizzes).

In the classroom we first impart basic knowledge to our students, and then we clear up any false beliefs and misconceptions about diving and the underwater world, as required.

Videos enhance the new information and provide demonstrations of the skills and techniques that will be exercised duiring the second half of the first day in the pool in 1,2m to 2,4m depth.

On the second day we will go for a second pool session, watch 2 more PADI teaching videos and do some more skill training plus an easy final exam.

The third and fourth days each include 2 dives on our "house reef" with skill training underwater and on the surface, as well as a lot of time to gain more underwater experience and have some fun.

Course length: 3 to 4 days

Group size: Max 4 students per dive instructor
(according to PADI Standards max 8 students per dive instructor are allowed)

For some visitors on a short holiday the course length is a hindrance - they do not want to spend their valuable time in classrooms. There is the possibility of doing the basic theoretical and pool training in a PADI dive school in or around your hometown before going on your holiday. You would then complete the course with 4 open water dives over 2 days here with us and become certified by us as a "PADI Open Water Diver".

Advanced Open Water Diver This course consists of 5 dives and self study theory modules. Each dive has a theme, of which 2 (Navigation and Deep Diver) are mandatory. The three remaining dives are up to you and can be chosen from a list of very exciting options, such as:

Emergency First Response

During this course you will be taught the basics of medical first aid. The theoretical and practical knowledge presented in this course can help save lives after any accident.

Learn the life-saving techniques used by rescue teams, firemen and medics all over the world in only one day!

Rescue Diver

Besides teaching life-saving techniques at sea, stress management and self-rescue techniques, this course emphasizes the prevention of dive accidents by learning how to recognize potential problems before they arise and identify them at an early stage of their development.

The PADI Rescue Diver course consists of 12 open water modules and classroom sessions.

Divemaster

The first professional step on your ladder to success as a PADI professional in the diving industry! A divemaster assists a PADI Instructor during training sessions and is able to guide groups of certified divers under water.


In order to be certified as a PADI Divemaster you need to have 60 logged dives, determination, a professional attitude and theoretical knowledge equivalent to that of a PADI Instructor.
