Manta Expeditions in Thailand

Mantapoint was the first dive center in Thailand to promote manta ray expeditions in Thailand starting shortly after our first dive center was opened in 1999 in Khao Lak. Since then we have conducted manta ray daytrip and overnight expeditions with an unmatched success quota for manta sightings of over 70% !

Our scuba diving programme features at least two manta ray expeditions per week. A maximum of eight divers plus two dive guides will on board of our comfortable M/V Voyager 2 on our 140 minute trip to Koh Bon, an island north of Similan that is well known for frequent manta sightings.

Due to at times strong currents and nutrient-rich waters, manta rays have chosen the islands southwestern tip as a feeding station. Chances for manta ray encounters are highest in the months November to April.
